The speaker's voice was strong and clear.
A big crowd gathered close to hear
As he denounced the powers that be
For sending wheat across the sea.
"America first" we all should say.
Support our own in every way.
Let foreign nations feed themselves!
We'll keep our grain to stock our shelves.
The crowd responded with applause,
And gave him sanction in his cause.
He felt quite proud of himself that day
As he stepped in his Datsun and drove away.
