Hay Fever

You ask how I feel, so listen to me
I'll tell you about my allergy.

Ragweed, grass seed, down from a thistle,
House dust, road dust, steam from a whistle.

Orange blossoms, peach blossoms, lint and dog hair,
Car smoke, wood smoke and even fresh air.

Any old thing that floats on the breeze
Will tickle my nose and cause me to sneeze.
Ah - Choooooooo!

I went to the Doc and said, give me a shot
To cure these allergies that I've got.

He checked me over from stem to stern
So all of my allergies he could learn.

Then as he slowly shook his head
He turned to me and sadly said,

"The only shot your trouble will fix,
Is for you to be shot with a 'thirty-ought-six"

I said, Why Doc, I'm ashamed of you,
'Cause I'm allergic to gun smoke, too.

Any old thing that floats on the breeze
Will tickle my nose and cause me to sneeze.
Ah - Choooooooo!

And now what really is bothering me
I've become allergic to my allergy.
Ah - Choooooooo!
